  • Featuring a Monocoque construction for safety and comfort, Thomsons Road bar wing section is small enough not to restrict hand movement when riding on the top and allows bar angle adjustment without “locking out” your wrists. All the carbon fibre that Thomson uses is produced by Toray and uses tailor made Nano Epoxy Resin for very high impact resistance. Toray is the main supplier of carbon fibre for Boeing and Airbus. The Bars are moulded over an EPS mandrel to avoid wrinkles inside the layup during moulding. Most other bars are moulded over inflatable nylon bladders. Shaping on the bottom side of the wing allows housing to be taped out of the way without the use of narrow housing channels or internal routing, both of which shorten bar life. The Layup uses 3 different fibre types with different tensile strengths and tensile modulus, including High Strength carbon fibre. This helps allocate stiffness and flex where needed.

There are several key considerations that we like you to think about when buying any product, these are designed to help you to get the most of your money and also to help you find the very best products from a number of options available. Our first piece of advice is to check out the key features of Thomson Carbon Road Bar to ascertain what it is about it that stands out from the competition. We also recommend that you spend a bit of time comparing Thomson Carbon Road Bar to other products from Thomson to see how it stacks up against similar products.

Then when you have spent the time looking at some of the key features, we suggest that you write yourself a list of things that your Drop Handlebars product must have. These ‘must haves’ can vary from specific features that you’re looking for, or it may be that you’re only willing to buy from a retailer like Wiggle Online Cycle Shop or perhaps you only want a brand such as Thomson. This list will really prove useful when you come to narrowing down your choices and ultimately whether you decide to buy Thomson Carbon Road Bar or an alternative option. We can’t stress this enough, once you have written your list, stick to it. So often we’re tempted by a good deal and end up straying away from the criteria that we set ourselves, which can mean we end up spending more, or buying a product that isn’t actually fit for the purpose we originally intended.

The price of the Drop Handlebars product that you buy is obviously going to be a major part of your decision, let’s face it, price is what drives a huge part of the decision making on any purchase nowadays. So we wanted to explore the price of Thomson Carbon Road Bar a bit more so that you can see how it stacks up against the competition.

To do that, we looked at the prices of 100 products in the Drop Handlebars category to determine how much you can expect to pay for one of these products. The results show that of the 100 products, the average price was £107.67, whilst the most expensive price came in at £448.85, although it’s also worth noting that the cheapest product we found in the category was just £6.99.

The next step is to look at the price you can expect to pay for Thomson products. The average price was £101.49 of the 24 products we found from Thomson (worth mentioning that only 5 of these are in the Drop Handlebars category). The highest priced item we found from them was £299.99 and the cheapest was £2.99.

The key thing to consider here, is how the price of Thomson Carbon Road Bar compares to others but taking into account the quality and features of Thomson Carbon Road Bar over the other options.

Thomson Carbon Road Bar Reviews

As we mentioned at the start, when we review our products we consider a number of different, but important, factors. For Thomson Carbon Road Bar the 3 factors that we took into account are the price, the quality and the reviews received. We then create a score for each of these factors based on how it compares to other alternatives. Once that’s done we combine all of the scores to give you an Overall score which can be used as a benchmark to compare to other products.

You’ll see that we scored Thomson Carbon Road Bar 8.9 out of 10, which is an amazing score for a product in the Drop Handlebars category. This score was reached because we found that the quality of the item was higher than that of products in a similar price bracket, the price seemed to be very good value for money and the reviews over at Wiggle Online Cycle Shop were overall very positive.

Now that you’ve got a good idea of how Thomson Carbon Road Bar stacks up against the competition, our top recommendation would be to go over to Wiggle Online Cycle Shop by clicking the “View Reviews” button and spending a bit of time reading lots of customer reviews. Customer reviews are truly your best ally when it comes to shopping online. You can’t get a good feel for the key features, specification or quality of a product when you’re buying it online, which is why reviews are so helpful. Reviews are essentially your way of getting someone else to test the product on your behalf. You’ll also get feedback from customers that have been using Thomson Carbon Road Bar for a number of months too, so you’ll know how it stands the test of time and can get a really good idea of whether it’s the right product for you to go for.
